“Continental Kinship”
Hayley Dayis Original Foraged Pigment Painting with Pine Frame
23.5x31 inches
Canvas, Pigments Hand-Foraged by the Artist in Cauca, Colombia
Artist’s description:
This piece portrays Mount Kilimanjaro of Tanzania Africa, Mount Vinicunca of Cuzco Peru, and Mount Denali of Alaska North America. They are gathered together, leaning on each other, in conversation and exchange and mutual support. They are family. This is the story I want to tell with mineral pigments: the interconnected stories of land and people, and our dependence on each other.
