Artist’s description:

Three is a magical number used in lots of storytelling. Beginning—we’re on the edge of our seats. Middle—we’re starting to recognize the pattern of the story. End—we think we know exactly what’s coming (but we often get a surprise). Our lives are like that too, we just can’t always tell what part of the story we’re in because we’re in all parts at the same time!

This piece serves as a reminder that while it sometimes feels like we’re caught in the cross-fire of past and future, we can always slow down and dip into deep time where past, present and future coexist. We just have to let ourselves slowwwww dowwwwwn. That’s when the heart, the mind and the body can rest and rejuvenate from all of the juicy hullabaloo of our life stories…

Check out the Ted Talk by Elizabeth Lesser: “Say your truths and seek them in others.” She talks about deep time in a really compelling, relatable way.
